Alumni Restaurant & Bar in Franklin

It’s just ok, we purchased gift cards for Christmas. As a promotional kick back we got free gift cards with the purchase. We went back a few weeks later and low and behold the card had no value(30.00).We asked to see the owner and she agreed we were out 30 bucks. My husband went out to his truck and actually found the receipt proving we were correct so the owner honored the card. We won’t be back that type of thing is very sketchy. So hold on to your receiptS alumni will not honor your gift card.

Local place with a local vibe. Big menu with a lot of choices. I got the fish and chips with a cup of chowder and didn't have any complaints

Consistent service and food quality. It's a good, locally owned restaurant. Nothing spectacular, but always leave satisfied. Great salads, good roast beef sandwich, grilled meats etc. Take out carries home well, but always takes longer than stated on the phone. Comfortable bar, mostly regulars, but spacious and welcoming.

To the person who called this restaurants gift card promotion shady really needs to check their facts. This local restaurant offers great deals on Gift Cards around the holiday. On Black Friday their deal is buy one/get one of equal value up to $300.00. This is something NO other restaurant I’ve ever gone to offer. They also offer another deal buy a certain amount on gift card and receive a courtesy card for a certain amount depending on amount you purchase. Others offer a courtesy gift card for buying a gift card but does not compare to Alumni’s offers. To say this restaurants gift cards are shady is so far from the truth. If there is ever a question the staff and owner will go above and beyond to rectify the issue.

Food ok service good but overpriced

The food is pretty standard, but still done well. They have the basics with burgers and sandwiches, plus some specials which can be very good. What makes good, though, is the atmosphere. Each night they have something going on, like song bingo. Good bar where you can see people.. Lots of regulars, and the waitstaff is likely to greet you like on old friend if you become a one. Definitely a good family place. Go somewhere else for a singles scene. (But who knows? :-) )

Alumni has great food and service. My wife and I visit several times a month.

Quality comfort food. Service is quick and friendly. They have daily specials and entertainment. Alumni has a real hometown feel. The roast beef is perfection.

I simply love their dishes. I always get great customer service there. The place is neat and the cashiers are always helpful. Will visit here again.

Came here with my friend for a quick lunch..lobster salad was OK...I liked the low key atmosphere...came back and had scrod dish....good as well...I'll be back.

This place is awesome! Fair pricing, large dishes and the staff members are constantly very friendly.

They have a nice big menu here, they food is always very good, and the prices are okay. I had the all-you-can-eat fish fry on (I think it was) Tuesday, and it was wonderful. My kids enjoyed their food also. One got lobster mac & cheese and it was filled with lobster.

I just had the most delicious Roast Beef Sandwich. I opted for the side of horseradish mayo and a ramekin of au jus as my accouterments. The Cottage Fries were crispy and tasty. The onion rings were thin, lightly battered and yummy. I chose a nice chilled glass of Prosecco which CarolAnn our server, promptly served.Good menu, good atmosphere.

Not a bad little place. A little tight if you have more than 4 people but good food and service. AC seemed a little weak

Our party of 3 enjoyed a delicious meal, dessert and drinks. Nothing was left on our plates. We had a burger, pulled Pork sandwich, Ceasar salad with grilled shrimp, shrimp cocktail. For dessert we had flourless chocolate cake and molten lava cake..nothing left on our plates!! We will be back.

This place is awful Anyone who loves it can eat anywhere Hair on my roast beef And most expensive frozen fried clams anywhere. Low hanging fruit not surprised it is rated high. People's bar on reviews is low

This place never disappoints. Great food and services. You can watch the game there. It is one of my go to spot!

My wife and I dropped In for burgers, beer and open mike night at the Alumni and were pleasantly surprised. Instead of a burgers we ordered scallop dish that was on the daily special menu. Sea scallops sauteed, served with a lemon thyme risotto and a limoncello sauce. Everything was spot on. Service was great. Food outstanding. Nice to have place like this so close to home.

Gross. Had the calamari and a caesar wrap. Calamari was rubbery and I sent most of it back. Chicken wrap was ok but nothing worth writing home about. The bartender was very nice.
